Fly With Eagles Award

A very special award from a very special vet who has done much to further the cause of recognizing and remembering our American war veterans.
Fly With Eagles Award
"This award was implemented because in 1984, as the result of an accident while serving as an officer on active duty with the US Army, I became a quadriplegic, paralyzed from the chest down. In a veterans hospital for 10 months, I was among many young men struggling to put a sense of worth back into their lives. I always admired our national symbol, the bald eagle, for its strength, courage and beauty, and its ability to soar on the slightest of winds. It was what those of us in the hospital were trying to do - muster up the strength and courage to live our lives with the least amount of help."

"Now I am in a position financially, physically, and spiritually to recognize others for their efforts. Thus, the "Fly With Eagles" award was born. We surf the net looking for worthy web pages. And, in some cases, web pages are recommended to us. Your respect for proper NET ETHICS and your ability to display your web page in a LOGICAL, INFORMATIVE, and CREATIVE format places you among only a handful of web masters that have received this award. "

"Our brothers WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN!
They should either be walking on or buried in AMERICAN SOIL!"

-- John Lorf, USMC Retired

"As an American asked to serve, I was prepared to fight, to be wounded, to be captured and even prepared to die, but I was not prepared to be ABANDONED."

-- Former POW Eugene "Red" McDaniel

29th Field Artillery Regiment True Patriotism Award
29th Field Artillery Regiment True Patriotism Award The 29th Field Artillery Regiment has a long and distinguished history. MSG Dan Fisher (Ret.) has built an extensive site that documents the 29th from WWI through Bosnia. The 29th has "adopted" the crew of James Van Fleet, Jr., John McAllaster and Ralph Phelps, who were MIA on April 4, 1952 while flying a 13th mission. Fisher has done considerable research on this crew and his findings are posted at the 29th site.

Fort Huachuca Army Community Service Award

Webnet Ratings Award Webnet Ratings Award

Webnet is an Australian ratings and review service. They've given the 13th Bomb Squadron site its highest rating of five stars.

"A very entertaining site based around a US bomber squadron from the Korean war. Gives us an excellent insight into the Korean war, and the exploits of one particular group. An excellent site for students or historians. Very well done, and a credit to its designers."
